Auto Insurance

What is Car Insurance?

Car insurance covers damage to your vehicle and protects you financially if you’re liable for someone else’s injuries or damages. Auto insurance can also pay for medical bills if you or your passengers are injured in an accident or you’re hit by an uninsured or underinsured driver. Your policy protects you up to certain limits, agreed upon by you and your insurer.

Motorcycle Insurance

A motorcycle policy generally covers the cost of injuries to others and damage to their property when you’re at fault. Your own motorcycle can be covered for unexpected events such as theft, fire and damaging weather. Collision coverage pays for damage to your motorcycle if you hit another vehicle or an object.

ATV Insurance

Safeguarding against the unexpected with ATV collision insurance can help protect against most accidental damage. Getting out in the middle of nowhere shouldn’t mean that your finances will be lost in the woods if you have an accident.

RV Insurance

This includes damage from vandalism, theft, failing objects, fire, storms, floods and certain other natural disasters. This RV coverage helps protect you against drivers who don’t have liability insurance or lack the money to pay for injuries and damages they cause to you, your passengers or your RV.

Boat/PWC Insurance

What Is Watercraft Insurance?

Watercraft insurance is an umbrella term for three types of insurance: boat insurance, yacht insurance, and personal watercraft insurance. It protects against damage to vessels powered by a motor that has a horsepower of at least 25 miles per hour (mph).

Examples of the types of costs covered by watercraft insurance policies include physical loss or damage to the boat, theft of the boat, and towing.

Collector Auto Insurance

What is Classic/Collector Car Insurance?

There are several services and features that distinguish classic car insurance from an average insurance policy, but the most important one is agreed-value coverage.

In an agreed-value policy, you and your insurer agree on the value of the car you own, and that’s how much it’s insured for. This could be anywhere from $10,000 to $100,000 or more — it’s all dependent on what your classic car is worth, as determined by an appraiser.

The vehicle must be insured as a collector car and must meet one of the following requirements: The vehicle is at least 35 model years old. (Health and Safety Code section 44011) The vehicle is at least 25 model years old with historical vehicle license plates.

Types of Property Insurance

At Apterian our property insurance is a type of insurance policy that can provide coverage for property owners or renters. Examples of property insurance include homeowners, renters, and flood insurance policies (covered through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). These policies can provide coverage for damages caused by fire, flooding, theft, weather, and other risks.

Homeowners, renters, condo/co-op, and mobile home coverages are written through our partner insurance companies and are secured through the Apterian Insurance Agency. The information you provide will be shared with our business partners so that they can return a quote.

Homeowners Insurance

What are the three types of homeowners insurance?

HO-1: Basic form insurance only offers dwelling protection.

HO-2: Broad form insurance extends beyond basic forms coverage to include personal belongings and additional perils.

HO-3: The most common type of homeowners insurance, special form insurance includes dwelling, belonging, and liability coverage

Renters Insurance

What is the meaning of renters insurance?

Renters insurance protects your personal property in a rented apartment, condo, or home from unexpected circumstances such as theft, a fire, or sewer backup damage – and will pay you for lost or damaged possessions.

Condo/Co-Op Insurance

What does co-op mean in insurance?

Cooperatives
A non-profit organization in which the same people who own the company are insured by the company. Cooperatives can be formed at a national, state, or local level and can include doctors, hospitals, and businesses as member-owners. Co-ops will offer insurance through the Marketplace

Mobile Home Insurance

What is the meaning of Mobile Home insurance?

Mobile home insurance sometimes referred to as manufactured home insurance, may cover damage to your mobile home, personal belongings, and liability claims if you’re responsible for someone else’s damages or injuries.

Landlord Insurance

Landlord insurance is a policy for someone who rents out a home they own. This type of insurance typically includes two different types of coverage: property and liability protection. Both coverages are intended to help protect you, the landlord, from financial losses.

Flood Insurance

No home is completely safe from potential flooding. When just one inch of water in a home can cost more than $25,000 in damage, flood insurance can be the difference between recovery and financial devastation. For the past four years, hurricanes have caused above-average flooding. This year, we expect more of the same.
